Orientation and Victorfest

These two programs are designed to help students and families get to know NKU on a deeper level. You will meet with faculty and staff, get to know some of your new classmates, as well as current students; learn about university resources; and register for your fall classes. You will leave Orientation and Victorfest with a better understanding of what life will be like as a Norse!

  1. Orientation is where your NKU journey officially begins! Programs will take place in May, June, or July and registration is available on a first come, first served basis. Incoming Norse will learn more about campus resources, make friends, and discover student organizations. Parents and family members are welcome to attend, as we've prepared sessions specifically for them.

  2. Extended Orientation is an experience right before classes begin in August. Freshmen will finish their orientation experience, meet even more fellow students, and will be able to learn about and join student organizations! There will also be fun and exciting events that freshmen can participate in once the school year starts. Parents are not invited to this experience—it's just for incoming freshmen!

Both Orientation AND Extended Orientation are mandatory for all incoming freshmen.
