Dear Colleagues,
The first day of classes is finally here and I want to thank you all for being here and doing what you do every day to help our students thrive and our university and region succeed. I hope you are all as excited as I am to welcome these learners back. And thank you to all who were able to attend Fall Convocation and the Strategic Planning Summit last week.
As you settle in, you should know that there have been some exciting changes on campus over the summer … most notably, the relocation of our Welcome Center to the center of campus at the University Center on the second floor. I am thrilled with the new look inside UC, and I encourage you to walk through when you have a chance. And I hope you will join us September 18 for the grand opening — more on that later.
Here are some of the new places for old and new faces inside the University Center:
There have been some changes at the James C. and Rachel M. Votruba Student Union, the Lucas Administrative Center (AC) and the Math, Education and Psychology (MP) building:
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics has moved to MP 425 from the adjacent office suite in MP 401. The Office of the Vice Provost has moved to MP 469. The Office of the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences will move into MP 401 at the end of the fall semester. Finally, the Chase College of Law has fully returned to Nunn Hall and the Chase Law Library is open.
There are more exciting moves and renovations to come! As always, if you have any questions, please send them to me at president@nku.edu.
I am grateful for all you do for this university and best of luck for a fantastic semester.
